Now that the flambouyant but extremely boring Floyd Mayweather Jr. has announced his retirement from the squared circle, I don’t think there would be anymore reasons as to why Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao shouldn’t be named as the best pound for pound fighter in the world. For so long, The PacMan has been lingering in the shadows of the flambouyant Mayweather although experts throughout the boxing world has regarded Pacquiao as the most explosive boxer right now.
Packed with dynamite fists, PacMan has also been dubbed as the Mexican Assassin simply because he has outclassed the best boxers that Mexico has to offer including future Hall of Famers Eric “El Terrible” Morales and Marco Antonion “Baby Face Assassin” Barerra. He has just snatched the WBC Super Featherweight crown from Juan Manuel “Dinamita” Marquez last March and is set to face WBC Lightweight champ David Diaz on June 28.
If Pacquaio could dispose off Diaz in a convincing fashion, the PacMan would be well on his way to boxing’s hall of fame and he might be cementing his mark on the annals of the boxing world by being the only Asian boxer to have held 4 championship belts from 4 different weight classes.
